MODA CUM LAUDE
The trophy was awarded for the first time in 2011, at the Opera Ball, to Prof. Dr. Elena Basso-Stănescu, artist, designer, and lecturer in the Fashion Design Department of the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca.
At the 2012 edition of the Opera Ball, the trophy was awarded to the grand lady of Romanian fashion, Zina Dumitrescu, in recognition of her entire career.
In 2013, at the same event, the trophy was presented to the renowned Italian fashion designer Gai Mattiolo.
One year later, at the 2014 edition of the Opera Ball, the trophy was awarded to the iconic Romanian fashion designer Cătălin Botezatu.
At the 2015 edition, the trophy was awarded to the grand lady of Romanian fashion, Doina Levintza. At the 2017 edition of the Opera Ball, the trophy was awarded to the talented designer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lucian Broscățean, fashion journalist Dr. Liana Martin, and Dr. Matei Miko.At the 2019 “United We Support Excellence” Gala of Laureates, the trophy was awarded to Prof. Adina Nanu and Prof. Dr. Unda Popp.
At the 2021 edition of the Transilvania Fashion International Festival, the Moda Cum Laude Trophy was awarded to fashion analyst Alin Gălățescu and hair stylist Mia Poruțiu for their outstanding careers.
In 2022, the Moda Cum Laude Trophy was awarded at the Transilvania Fashion International Festival to Italian designer Liborio Capizzi and Romanian designer Kinga Varga.In 2023, the Moda Cum Laude Trophy was awarded at the Transilvania Fashion International Festival to designer Oana Livia Badea, the National University of Arts Bucharest (celebrating 50 years of creative activity), and designer Aidarkhan Kaliyev from Kazakhstan.
In 2025, at the anniversary edition, the Moda Cum Laude Trophy was awarded to designers Evelin Fink and Tudor Halatiu.
